THE LOVELY BONES Movie workshop Portfolio

the lovely bones” is a film full of symbols, images and allegories. In order to get some feedback from you, let’s develop the following ideas according to what you understood, see and felt. (there are some quotes from the movie below the questions that may help you to develop your ideas)

1. What’s Up With the Title? whyThe lovely bones?

These were the lovely bones that had grown around my absence [...]. And I began to see things in a way that let me hold the world without me in it.

2. explain:

a. The Afterworld

b. heaven

c. wide wide Heaven

3.What’s up with the ending?

could not have what I wanted most. Mr. Harvey dead and me living. Heaven wasn't perfect.

4. Answer these questions (develop ideas!)

Could this novel be helpful to victims of rape, their loved ones, or the families of people with a murdered member? Why, or why not.

If you were a psychiatrist, how would you analyze Mr.Harvey? Is there a cure for his problem? What might it look like?

If Susie had died of illness or accident, would her friends and family suffer in the same way? How might the circumstances of a person's death influence the way their loved ones deal with the loss?

As usual, be original!, develop your own ideas and don't take them from other sources... DON'T USE TRANSLATORS!!!

Hugs!
T. Danny

IMPROVEMENT PLAN 8 d,e,f

Hello guys!

Enjoy holidays!
Take care and practice English.. A LOT!

PORTFOLIO: STORYBOARD (1ST DRAFT)

HAND IN DATE: june 15th 8 d - e - f

Hello Dudes!

Well, I know everybody is exciting about shooting the remake, but as I have told you it is going to take some time, cause the main purpose is to PRACTICE ENGLISH, remember that and keep it on mind during the process.

As part of a previous selection each classroom chose the 4 movies to film and the teamwork for each one of them. Now, it is very important that “each movie has 8 members as the teamwork”

The teamwork is going to be in charge of the production of the film, it means they are going to MAKE the movie, that is why we have to do a previous process in order to know exactly what we need and what we want to make it possible and a high quality exercise. Actors are not important by now, you can be part of a teamwork and act in all the movies, it is up to you, but that will come later, take it easy!! Ok?

THE STORY BOARD

As we have seen in some of the laboratory classes, the story board is a summary of what you want to show in your movie. You have a mental image of how a scene should be and you explain that idea trough a picture and a text that includes relevant information about the scene, it can be an important dialogue or an explanation of an specific movement or situation.

Well, you have to do this portfolio as a teamwork. You are going to present the first Draft of the story board, you will have To decide as a team which scenes are Important to include and some others to delete from the original film.

As usual, you have to be very original, this time you do not have to do Something weird, just very organized and colorful (your teacher loves colors!)

Try to be very specific about what You want to show and include some nice pictures (not as your teacher does)

You can find some template ideas In the web as: storyboard templates

HAVE FUN!

Ok guys!

You have been watching BE KIND REWIND at the laboratory classes,

so you have an idea about how to “remake” a movie! Well,

what this is all about is just that: REMAKING A MOVIE!

We will follow some steps before having all the fun!, it means we

are going to go on PRE-PRODUCTION:

1. Select the movie you would like to remake. This will be the presentation of your portfolio

(yes, a picture or a draw with your name, grade, etc.)

Now you are going to answer the following questions: (remember to develop your ideas!)

2. Why this movie?

3. What is the story about?

4. Would you include all the scenes in the movie?, would you delete some? Would you change any scene to make it better, worse, whatever?

5. What role would you like to play? An actor, actress, director, camera man, make up, special effects, etc? And why

6. How many people would you need to film your movie?

WARNING: This portfolio is a contest!, only four (4) portfolios will be selected to become the movie projects from your class! If you convince your sponsor (it means, me!) with an attractive idea, then I will give you the resources to shoot your movie! You will be able to select your production team and start preparing the production process!!!
